A Conceptual Graph and RDF(S) Approach for Representing and Querying Document Content

چکیده
This article describes a first synthesis of a Conceptual Graph and RDF(S) approach for representing and querying document contents. The framework of this work is the escrire project [1], the main goal of which is to compare three knowledge representation formalisms (KR): conceptual graphs (CG), descriptions logics (DL), and object-oriented representation languages (OOR) for querying about document contents by relying on ontology-based annotations on document content. This comparison relies on an expressive XML-based pivot language to define the ontology and to represent annotations and queries; it consists of evaluating the capacity of the three KR formalisms for expressing the features of the pivot language. Each feature of the pivot language is translated into each KR formalism, which is than used to draw inferences and to answer queries. Our team was responsible on the CG part. The motivation of this paper is to give a first synthesis of the translation process from the pivot language to RDF(S) and CG, to underline the main problems encountered during this translation.

Developing a BIM-based Spatial Ontology for Semantic Querying of 3D Property Information
With the growing dominance of complex and multi-level urban structures, current cadastral systems, which are often developed based on 2D representations, are not capable of providing unambiguous spatial information about urban properties. Therefore, the concept of 3D cadastre is proposed to support 3D digital representation of land and properties and facilitate the communication of legal owners...

knowledge graphs have been introduced in [Corby and Faron-Zucker, 2010] through the KGRAM framework. They result from an initiative [Dieng-Kuntz and Corby, 2005] aimed at easing the design of semantic web applications through conceptual graphs (CGs) [Sowa, 1984]. They are particularly well suited in the context of collaborative lifescience platforms since (i) they allow representing and queryin...
متن کاملA Conceptual Graph Model for W3C Resource Description Framework
With the aim of building a ”Semantic Web”, the content of the documents must be explicitly represented through metadata in order to enable contents-guided search. Our approach is to exploit a standard language (RDF, recommended by W3C) for expressing such metadata and to interpret these metadata in conceptual graphs (CG) in order to exploit querying and inferencing capabilities enabled by CG fo...
متن کاملQuerying Embedded RDF Data with XML Technology: A Feasibility Study
XML has become the de facto standard for representing and accessing data on the Web. At the same time RDF is becoming more and more popular for representing metadata. While RDF also has an XML-based syntax, storage and query technologies for the two formats are not compatible due to differences in the data model. This is a potential problem when trying to query data that combine XML data with R...
متن کاملFlexible Querying of Fuzzy RDF Annotations Using Fuzzy Conceptual Graphs
This paper presents a flexible querying system of fuzzy RDF annotations which consists in translating fuzzy RDF annotations into fuzzy conceptual graphs and using an “approximate”-projection operation in order to compare fuzzy query graphs with fuzzy annotation graphs. The fuzzy sets in the query graphs having a semantic of preferences are compared with the fuzzy sets in the annotation graphs h...
